Entry 1 Qualifications in Personal Progress

Overview

The Entry 1 qualifications in Personal Progress are made of units which can be broadly divided into the following areas;

Literacy, Numeracy and ICT, Independent Living Skills, Personal Development, Community Participation, Preparation for Work, these units are accessible for People with Mild Learning Disabilities Learners (PMLD).

Entry Level Diplomas in Life Skills

Overview

The Diplomas in Life Skills are QCF qualifications based around the development of persona, social and employability skills. The Entry 1,2 and 3 Diplomas in Life Skills are made up of a range of units covering the following areas;

Independent Living, Personal and Social Development, Community Awareness, Personal Safety and Preparation for Work.

Employability Qualification – an accredited framework for developing and recognising general employability skills with children aged 14-16yrs.

  • SfE Award = 6 Credits = 0.5 GCSE
  • SfE Certificate = 15 Credits = 1.0 GCSE

Employability Qualification

Entry 2, Entry 3 and Level 1 qualifications for young people and adults who are not yet ready for employment but for whom a job is a realistic aim within a reasonable timescale.

Level 2 and Level 3 qualifications to help learners develop employability skills within occupational settings, allowing them to build on their employability skills and acquire transferable skills that will help them progress personally and at work.

Bronze, Silver and Gold

Imaginative ways of developing, recording and certificating a wide range of young people’s personal qualities, abilities and achievements as well as introducing them to new activities and challenges.

All linked to nationally recognised qualifications, which contribute to performance tables.
